Using the dew
The whole family participates in the night of San Juan, walking on grass barefoot to bring good fortune to the house.
For girls, the dew was sort of a way to see in dreams the one with whom they would marry. A girl could discover the name of the young that will marry her.
The name of each young man was written on a piece of paper, which was warped and then put under the pillow. The next morning, when she woke up, she had to choose one, without looking. Sometimes also, instead of putting them under the pillow, they were placed in a bowl with water and left them overnight in the dew. The next day, the piece of paper which was less wide up, contained the name of the young man that will be her husband.
With the egg white
On the eve, the girls of marriageable age searched for a glass bowl or a glass jug. They filled it with water and dropped into the white of an egg. Then it was left on the sill of the window of the room of the girl or in the garden, always exposed to the night dew. For reliable results, the night had to be calm and windless.
The next day, the egg white could done two forms (or in any case, two interpretations). If it look like an ark or boat with its sails and masts, it is a good sign. The boat would point the direction where the next boyfriend would come.. If it took the form of a box or a tomb, the prognosis is negative, and could indicate that she will never be married.
